Each year, CSAS organizes Work-in-Progress workshops, offering staff and PhD students the chance to present their recent work to colleagues engaged with South Asian studies across the college and university. These workshops provide a unique interdisciplinary platform for receiving valuable feedback. Presentations are allocated 20 minutes, followed by 10 minutes for Q&A, and the event typically features 2–4 panels with 2–3 papers per panel.
This semester’s workshop is scheduled for 27th–28th March 2025 (tentative timings: starting after lunch on 27th March, concluding by lunch on 28th March, with the Ambedkar Lecture on the evening of 27th March). The workshop will be held in person.
We'd like to invite you to submit proposals for papers, including a title and an abstract of no more than 300 words. Please send your submission to Prerna Singh at p.singh-12@sms.ed.ac.uk by Friday, 28th February 2025.
We look forward to your contributions!
