Inaugural lecture of Professor Amita Batra

Amita Batra will give a public lecture entitled 'India's Growth Story: The High and Lows' on Tuesday 12th March, 2013.

Lecture Abstract:

The paper will trace the trajectory of India’s economic growth highlighting the break point in the 1990s in terms of economic policy orientation, rate and structure of growth. Further India’s integration with the world economy with respect to trade, capital flows and significantly her participation in the global roundtable of policymaking will be discussed. The paper will also address issues relating to the developmental outcomes of the growth process experienced by India.
